CLUBHOUSE AND POOL – RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. POOL HOURS

6:00 AM to 11:00 PM – The Executive Board reserves the right to close the pool earlier due to maintenance requirements.

  1. POOL REGULATIONS AND GUEST PRIVILEGES

The pool is available to members and their guests.

Definitions: Member – an individual or family or household, who have paid the club’s 

dues, and are in good standing with the board, thus placing them on the membership roll

Guest(s) – individual(s) who are accompanied by a pool member

  • Any violation of pool rules and regulations is subject to a fine, with the amount dependent upon the severity of the infraction.
  • All members, regardless of age, will be given a membership identification pass which is to be in the possession of the member at all times when on club facilities.
  • Each membership (not each member) is allowed four (4) guests per day.
  • Guests may visit four (4) times per season.
  • A member must accompany all guests at all times.
  • All guests must register and sign in on the Stonemont webpage.  
  • There is no lifeguard on duty, therefore members agree to swim at their own risk.                 
  • An adult member (18 years or older) must accompany anyone under the age of 18.  Due to insurance regulations, a $100.00 fine will be assessed to any membership whose children do not comply with this rule.
  • A babysitter cannot bring guests to the pool.
  • Only swimmers wearing bathing suits are permitted in the pool.  
  • Rubber pants are required over swim diapers of all children not potty trained.
  • All diapers must be disposed of in plastic bags before being placed in the trash can.  The Board will provide plastic bags for this purpose.
  • No baby oil or suntan oil of any type is to be used unless showered off before entering the water.  Waterproof suntan lotion is permitted.
  • No person with a fever, cold, cough, inflamed eyes, or any skin disease will be allowed the use of the pool.
  • No dogs or other animals will be permitted in the pool area.
  • No food or drink may be consumed within five (5) feet of the pool. 
  • Smokers must always use the designated smoking areas.
  • No chewing gum is allowed in the fenced pool area.
  • There will be no spitting in the pool or on the grounds.
  • Trash receptacles are provided for members’ use.  Trash should not be thrown on the ground.
  • No graffiti (writing) on walls will be permitted.
  • To avoid damage to pool filters, no toys smaller than 2 inches can be used in the pool.
  • All posted regulations must be adhered to at all times.
  1. CLUBHOUSE RULES
  • The Clubhouse building will be locked at all times unless a scheduled event is making use of the space.
  • Children should be monitored or accompanied by an adult in the Clubhouse. 
  • There will be NO SMOKING allowed in the Clubhouse.
  1.  SAFETY RULES

Children are the responsibility of their parents or caregiver at all times.

A first-aid kit will be available to members at all times.  One will be located in one of the bathrooms.

  • Non-swimmer children age 3 and under must be within arm’s reach of an adult 

in the pool at all times.  This includes the pool steps.

  • There will be no running in the pool area.
  • No pushing or throwing anyone into the pool is allowed.
  • The diving board is to be used with care at all times.  Divers should be sure the pool is clear below the diving area before diving.  Only one (1) person is allowed on the diving board at a time.  Diving must be straight off the front of the board – not the sides.
  • As dictated by the Health Department, no glass or breakable items of any type will be allowed within the fenced area.  This includes, but is not limited to, Pyrex, ceramic containers, soda bottles, liquor/beer bottles, suntan lotions, and baby food glass containers.  A $100 fine will be assessed to any member or guest in violation of this rule, and the entire household will be suspended from the pool for one (1) week.
  • Proper entrances and exits to the pool area must be used.
  • The pool is closed during thunderstorms.
  • EVERYONE must exit the pool at the first sign of thunder and/or lightning.
  1.  MISCELLANEOUS.
  • Comments, suggestions, and complaints relating to the Club’s facilities, service, and staff are invited and should be directed to one of the Executive Board representatives.  Members may share these at pool board meetings which are advertised on the website, facebook and the newsletter, or they may fill out a suggestion form on the website.  Members may also bring questions or concerns directly to any pool board member.  
  • Stonemont Pool and Racquet Club, Inc., is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
  • When leaving the pool area, swimmers should lower their umbrellas, clean their tables, and dispose of their trash.
  • Whoever is the last to leave each day should close all umbrellas, lock the bathrooms, straighten chairs, and lock both gates.
  • All members are expected to act responsibly at all times.  Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children at all times.
  • Vehicles and bicycles should be parked in a manner that permits maximum use.  Members who park improperly will be warned, but repeated infractions will result in disallowing parking privileges near the Club or designated areas.  Members and guests should not park in front of residences on Fox Hollow and Signal Ridge.
  • Any Board Member is the final judge of misconduct in the pool area.  He or she has the authority to send out of the pool area any individual who he or she feels is breaking any safety or regulatory rule, or who is exhibiting unsatisfactory conduct.
  • Members will be permitted use of the facilities until 11:00 PMThe last member to use the facilities is responsible to clean up the pool area, lower the umbrellas, and lock the bathrooms and gates upon leaving.  Any member who in the opinion of the Executive Board does not conduct himself or herself in an appropriate manner may have this privilege revoked by a majority vote of the Board.
  1.  CLUB EQUIPMENT
  • No article(s) belonging to the Club shall be removed from the premises without written permission from the Executive Board.
  1.  PRIVATE PARTIES

Private parties shall be subject to the provisions of the party rental agreement.  A “private party” is defined as a group of persons numbering more than four (4) guests/ membership.  (Please note that the pool is still open to pool members during private parties.  However, the Clubhouse is not available to pool members, as it is part of the party rental agreement.)    

NOTE:  Having a party without obtaining a party rental agreement will result in a minimum fine of $100.00 along with the assessment of applicable party fees.

  • All private parties must be reserved through the Pool Board.  Requests for rentals are available on the website.
  • A $50.00 fee is required for all parties for use of the pavilion or $75.00 fee for private use of the Clubhouse.  Private party rentals are for a duration of 4 hours.  This includes any set up or clean up necessary.  A separate sheet of policies will be given to any member wanting to rent the pavilion or clubhouse.  It will detail the responsibilities of the Stonemont Pool & Racquet Club as well as the responsibilities of the members renting the amenities.  
  • Private parties are highly encouraged to hire a lifeguard at the expense of the member.  If a lifeguard is not hired or available, it is recommended there is at least 1 adult for every 5 kids.
